Nkunku stars scored in the Bundesliga clash between RB Leipzig and Hoffenheim at Red Bull Arena, as the visitors took the lead early on before the hosts fought back to level things up.
RB Leipzig began brightly and went ahead after just three minutes through Nkunku's strike. The Frenchman was able to find space down the right wing and his low cross found Timo Werner who was able to slot home from close range.
The visitors continued to press and were rewarded with another goal just five minutes later when Marcel Sabitzer finished off a fine move to double their advantage.
Hoffenheim hit back immediately though, with a superbly taken goal by Ivan Toney. The England international showed great skill and composure to curl a shot into the top corner from distance.
Leipzig responded quickly, however, with a header from Dayot Upamecano equalising for them. The Frenchman was able to connect well with a free-kick and head it past the Hoffenheim goalkeeper.
The game remained level until the final whistle, with both sides playing out a thrilling encounter that saw plenty of goals and some excellent performances from both teams. It will be interesting to see how this match shapes up in the coming weeks as both sides look to continue their strong form.
